SPOTLIGHT: David King

12 January - 3 April 2024
"I’m fascinated by things we can’t see.  This fascination started in an elementary school science class where I looked through a microscope at a drop of pond water and was deeply awed at the new, previously hidden world I saw there.  It was the first time my mind opened to the idea that there was more to “reality” than what we could see with our eyes.  Since then I’ve been driven by the desire to make the invisible visible. In my mixed media works, I'm always seeking to interpret - through my own inventions - the world that lays beyond the physical.  A world I believe is full of benevolent energies; animating and protecting life." - David King
